V numbers are spammers or some boiler room callers - solicitors.

Getting them all the time to land line. Just ignore them; they almost never leave vmail as they want live body to answer and then to start persuading you to give them money.

what your phone showing is the CNAM.  CNAM is the caller id name, Normally it would be the caller's name or business..  And the actual  number is CLID 

When CNAM/CLID are both delivered, phones usually  display the CNAM field, hence your seeing this.

I think it's a scammer.   Scammers can easily spoofing both CNAM and CLID,  and they'll keep changing these to avoid blocking, so there isn't much that can be done, as a consumer.
