waiting for number to be transferred as activation occurred but number could not be transferred due to be being blocked by rogers ?

Do you have porting protection on your account? If not you may be in an area that does not have much telus/pm exchanges leading to the refusal to release a phone number but this is mostly limited to north western ontario and a few very remote areas of Canada.
