Re: Change Subscription Plans are much better than New Activation Plans.

Hi I have been PM for years.  All of a sudden I am receiving "my subscription is on hold!" no idea why all of a sudden.  Anyway went in to pay my $25. for 1GB and for some odd reason it would not accept payment.  I did look for cheaper options as saw your post but I am not seeing the cheaper rates either!  I don't need that much but the cheapest one was what I have no, the next one up was I think $29!

Thanks for any help.

Thank you very much for all the information.  Sounds like they accepted my ccc this time.  I have a receipt for payment anyway!

Good to know they are going to make my plan obsolete too!   Why not eh!  Yes I will keep this and get in touch with customer sevice as we hardly use the PM phone at all, it is a secondary phone if something goes wrong.  We have had our main phone number for years and PM does not have that exchange, so we kept it going with another provider as we did not want to lose our phone number.

Not a big deal if we have to change to another provider in the future from PM, just the cheapest we found at the time when we wanted to have another phone number.  I would rather stay with PM and not deal with another company, but time will tell.

Thank you again so much for the information, so I will be aware when the time comes.

@pomlady7

If your service is on hold or not working, and the reset does not fix it, you should contact a customer service agent to fix the problem. You can initiate a service ticket by using the chat. If that does not work, you can use the following link:

With respect to changing to a cheaper plan, the cheaper plans are not always available in the Change Subscription. They only pop up randomly and not for everybody at the same time. All you can do is check on a regular basis and wait for the opportunity. Even if the cheaper plan is not the one you want, by selecting it, a further cheaper plan may be become available in the future. Make sure you change on renewal in order not to lose what you already paid for.

Another suggestion: your $25 3G 1 GB plan is about to become obsolete when Telus inn public mobile gets rid of 3G completely. When that happens, public mobile or Telus may try to convince you to pay for an upgraded but more expensive 4G or 5G plan to continue your service. In that situation, I would suggest that you also contact a customer service agent and complain. In my opinion, telus and public mobile should not be forcing its customers to pay for more expensive plans due to their service changes. Since there are cheaper plans available, you should insist that they change you to one of those plans. If they refuse, I would suggest that you file a complaint with the ccts.

Good luck.

hi @pomlady7 so account still only hold and no service? you see PM took the money? is the money showed as Available Fund?  Check Payment history, do you see it showing 2 lines, one should show they charged you $25, the other should show they used the money for renewal

Okay thank you.  I am getting texts but it still says it is on hold.  I was hoping to go down to the $19. as hardly ever use the phone, it is our secondary phone as a back up.  So now I know that I can't.  Wonder why the plan can't be changed to a lower level.  I am only getting 1GB with my service now and never even use that!

hi @pomlady7 So, is your service working now?

and yes, $25 plan holders usually do not have the option to go down to $19
