Re: Can't place or receive calls in US

I have exactly the same problem as the topic starter, and my phone is VoLTE-compatible (Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra). Is there anything that can be done to fix the problem?

On a related note, when I was on a similar plan with Freedom, I sometimes had a similar problem in the US, except that data didn't work, either, but restarting the phone always helped. I'm not sure if this is the same problem, though.

Hi @timwood,

This sounds like a real solution. Will do the same. Thank you so much.

Hi Vassily

I contacted support. They reset my profile and then it worked. Hope this helps

hi @Vassily

yes, the toggle is set to on by PM, and the network push to hide it, so, you can ignore

and you are in Canada now, make a call and confirm if you see the network stays with LTE or 5G, that would be an indication that VoLTE is working

Thank you for your advice. No, the VoLTE toggle isn't there in Settings -> Connections -> Mobile networks, even though Google claims it must be there in Samsung Galaxy S23, and I have no idea how I could ensure that VoLTE is enabled (I assume it is enabled by default, though). As for switching the network, I'll try it next time I'm in the US.

hi @Vassily

first check to see if you have the VoLTE toggle (although most the time it is hidden), Go to Settings, then Connection, Mobile Network, and check if the VoLTE toggle is there, turn it on if so.  If it is not there, no worry

next, change the network to a different one.  With PM, you can use AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon.  Try them all and see which one works
