Ran out of data

Hey ther I would like to renew rate now on my account I'm over the 8gb all the time is ther any other way for me not to I'm always on data and barely any wifi

@Duramax2005  Yes i think with some finetuning you can cut down your wasted data usage and be able to stay close to your plan data limit. First set your data tracker so you can get an idea of what apps use the most data and where you can curtail your use. Enable your data saver this way updates will wait for WiFi. Make a mental note every time you are somewhere with free WiFi to have your phone automatically switch to it. While your waiting in line back up your phone or download those couple of new youtube vids you want to see. Youtube uses an insane amount of data...dont use it for tunes there are plenty of free music apps or take advantage of free 3 month trials to stream music. Go thru each app and look at their data use...and restrict 90 % of them from using background data. You won't even notice a difference. If you get your plan changed now..... reset your data tracker to match your new dates.

Freedom, Lucky, and I believe Chatr, have unlimited data once your set data limit is reached. This may better suit your needs.

@Duramax2005  If you are over the 8GB all the time then maybe you should look at other plans offered by Koodo or Telus that might be a better fit for you.

They were offering 10 for 60 and even 12 for 60, once they offer something like that again you can schedule the switch, or switch as soon as you're out of data (don't forget to cancel the scheduled one of you run out of it before it's due). Until then you will have to contact moderators every time this happens.

You might want to make sure you don't have automatic updates for apps and turn off GPS.  You can download maps for offline use.  If you stream music or video then download it.  Here is more info to manage data.

We need moderator assistance to renew early. If you're running through 8gb of data before your term is up then you're at the wrong place. That's the max for data. You could pay an additional $30 for the 1gb add-on but it doesn't sound like even that would do you. Or focus more on wifi. Control your apps data usage. etc.

If you want to renew your plan earlier then the renew date and be charged right away for your plan to start with data again you will have to contact the moderators via SIMon the chat bot.
