Questions regarding basic plan

Hi, Have some questions regarding the basic plan ($15) .  1-Is the 100mins in the plan a onetime Bonus or with this plan you regularly get 100 mins every month?  2-Do you have to buy a talk plan to have (activate) “Unlimited incoming calls’?  3-Is this 100Mins for outgoing or receiving calls or both of them? If you receive a call for 100 mins, the first 100 minutes of the conversation considered as an unlimited incoming or calculated as 100 min Canada wide?  4- What about 250 MB ,Is this one time Bomus or this is monthly ?For using this you have to set the “Autopay”,is this a self-limited data package or you will be charged  automatically if you use more data? 6-If you don’t use the data or 100 mins can you transfer them to the next month?   7-Is this plan and its content a time limited offer or it’s a normal plan? (My son’s prepaid at Koodo  ends in the middle of this month and want to transfer his number ).Thanks for your time and happy Canada Day. RezaT

@RezaT

This is a great plan but data doesn't go too far with kids I noticed.

But you can help a lot if you allow updates only on wifi, turn off wifi assist (wifi being boosted by data when wifi gets weak) restrict background data for most or all apps. If the kid is using iPhone make sure that iMessages are set to sms, that one devours data in 1-2 days. Here, data used for messaging is NOT counted against your allowance, but you must instruct iPhone to use sms service

You can turn it into unlimited outgoing too if you use fongo call transfer, that uses mare 0.06megs per call. Let me know if interested I'll send you some screenshots

It is however great opportunity to teach them how to ration too.

You will not be overcharged. One you used up the data or minutes, the service just stops.  The unused portion does not roll over to the next month.   You could buy a data add on for $15 for 1GB and 500 minutes outing Canada for $5.  Unused portion of add ons do roll over.

It is a normal plan for a while now.

The 100 minutes are outgoing calls, plus you have unlimited incoming calls on the $15 plan and 250mb data once you enable autopay with a registered CC, which will also give you the $2 discount so that you only pay $13 per cycle.

All the plan features reset at every payment cycle and adding the $5/500 mins add-on to this plan allows for extra calling anytime the 100 mins is used up before renewal.

Prepaid Koodo requires moderators assistance to port the number over but activation can be done with a temporary number.

1.  100 outgoing minutes every 30 days.

2.  No.  The unlimited incoming minutes is part of $15 plan.

3.  100 outgoing minutes is for calling out.  No charge foe all incoming calls.

4.  You get 250MB data if you enable autopay.

6.  unsed data will be gone at the end of 30 days cycle

7.  The $15 plan is not limited time offer.  PM will let us know if they are going to discontinue any plan

BTW, PM plan are 30 days per cycle. No monthly.  Therefore, your payment date will change according to the number of days in each month.

PM plan is perfect for kid account as there is no change of overage charge.   Just tell your son that when he used all his 250MB data before the next renewal date, data will stop working.
