I thought it was asking for my pin for the phone not the sim entered the wrong pin 3 or 4 times now have a puk lock how to get the puk code?

Only Public Mobile's Customer Support Agents (CSA) can give you this type of code, which the device manufacturer cannot.
Caution! If the PUK is entered incorrectly 10 times in a row, the SIM card becomes unusable.
You need to send a private message to the customer agent.
