I have public `15 GB at 4G Speed` plan.
I have measured my internet speeds consistently for the pass month and found that I only get about 30Mbitsps down and about 5Mbps up.
My partner is on the same plan and the speed test is the same.
I have a Google Pixel 6 and my partner has a Iphone 12

I've tired your suggestion a few times with no change.
I've updated my plan on both phones to 5G plan.
It's been 2 days since our plan change and I'm consistently getting 7 to 10Mbitsps on both phones. I've driven about 30km away from my house in a completely different city. I have the same issue.
The only thing I have not tired is factory resetting my phones.
Honestly if this not resolved I'm leaving public mobile it's been a great few years but this is unacceptable.

I was getting 6Mbps today on 4g plan tested over 2 devices.
Something if not adding up and I don't think both phones from two different vendors have the exact same issue.
Especially since I've literally tried changing all of the Internet setting from 4g/LTE/5g etc.

I have a 4G plan. So I should be getting better speeds.
I am not going through a VPN.
Also I got no idea how to remove the solution thing from this post I didn't mean to do that

Well, they ARE throttling. If you have a 3G SPEED plan then it's capped at 3mbps. 4G gets to 100. 5G to 250. But those are maximums. There will always be variances. And bars of reception will have a definite effect.
What are the chances you're going through a vpn?
Can you provide images of your apn settings. The iphone would be simpler but the Pixel would be good details.

Your suggestion does not help, I've done all of this many times.
Both phones provides consistent test results over a month. This is not something I started investigating today I literally started doing consistent test about 3x a week and random times in the day.
Today I did some test and we were getting 6Mbitsps on both phones.
Public mobile is 100% throttling our data regardless of the fact that we pay for 4G service plan.

How did this one slip through the cracks? Glad somebody picked it up.
30 isn't terrible. Better than the old 3 mbps speed. But how many bars of reception are you getting? What if you went to a different area, maybe you would see an improvement.

try changing the network mode (Preferred network type). Test both 4G and 5G (on iPhone, try both 5G On and 5G Auto). Yes, you are on a 4G plan, but it is in fact 4G speed plan, so, you can access PM 3G/4G/5G network , and just that the speed will be capped accordingly
