I took advantage of a 2GB promotion last month by subscribing to a $35 plan. This 2GB, rightfully, isn't linked to my plan cycle i.e., won't expire when the plan runs it's course of a month; as opposed to the main 2.5GB that comes with the $35 plan. The counter for the 2.5GB is reset every month as the plan is renewed each month but the 2GB promotion will continue on for as long as it is used up, which is all fair. The problem I have is that - when I try to change my plan, I lose the 2GB promotion associated with it! I've already paid $10 over what I intend to pay to take the benefits of the additional 2GB. Why remove the promotion when I change the plan? I've already paid the extra $ and PM has benefited off of it.

@Purpleoyster77 - there has been a few data promos over the last few months that are kinda of difficult to keep track of. 😃
Was it this one that had no time period?
If you do change your plan to a $35 or higher inmarket plan there is no guarantee if you keep the promo on the account. But, others have said it should stay after the plan change.
BUT - It may be a YMMV situation.
You could ask the CSA to see what they say.
But warning, each CSA tends to say different things at times. So if they favor your current situation, make sure you keep those messages as proof, for if you do change and loose the data promo. Then, submit a ticket and show what you were told.

@Purpleoyster77 Which 2GB promotion you got? The 2GB promotion should either be only for couple months or recurring and you should see that under My Promotion section like this:
It should show you how much you used and Current Plan cycle should either be something like 1/8 meaning first month for an 8 months promotion or unlimited.
Also, which new plan you got , usually as long as you stay ABOVE the minimum requirement for that promotion, you would get to keep the 2GB bonus data. So, depends on which 2GB promotion, most of them has a minimum plan amount of $35 (like the promo 2GBBONUS). There was just one exception for plans $25 and above (12MONTHS2GB)
