If you are downgrading your plan, then according to PM, you will lose that remaining data. However, it's been reported that if you contact a CS Agent and advise them the data bucket was given to you as a "Gift" for your loyalty and it had nothing to do with your price plan, you would like that returned to you. Many have succeeded. Sadly this has been a sore point for Public Mobile.
