Hello,
Is it possible to make a pre-payment on a public mobile account? I need to change my credit card but it will deactivate the one I currently have on file and it will try to pull the money before I have the new card to input. This wasn't an issue with larger providers as they would try again in a few days but I know Public won't do that. Can I just add some money to the account now and then it will pull that when the credit card gets denied?
Thanks in advance!

hi @Emrys2025
if you need to make a pre-payment, you can do so using this link as it is hidden for most new accounts:

after initial activation, you don't even need to have a payment card. You can go to Shell Gas, London Drugs and get payment vouchers to add them to your account. On line payment options are offered such as from www.muskbid.com. They're quick and reliable. No need to have your payment card on your account.

@Emrys2025 , the payment system will use account funds first to complete a renewal before going to the credit card. As for changing credit card, there is a bit of friction involved. You cannot remove your current card yourself. Unless it is absolutely necessary to do so, you might want to simply do the account fund addition now and leave the credit card as is and do an update when you are ready to switch credit cards. Otherwise, use the chat symbol on the lower right corner of the web page to initiate a support ticket to have an agent remove your current credit card from the account.

Yes, a payment can be manually made at any time from within your Public Mobile self serve account.
