Agree @kahull - for post-paid Koodo to here, simple and straight-forward.
For pre-paid it's a slightly different beast. Users must activate with a temporary number first, then engage customer support to 'pull' the number from Koodo's prepaid system to here since they're based in the same platform.

In order to port your number from Kodoo, please follow the instructions to activate your SIM on the Public website. The instructions are very straightforward and user friendly. It was easy to port and probably took me less than 30 minutes for the whole process.

So do you have a question, problem or comment about porting from Koodo?

HI @Paula6 yes, Koodo and Publlic Mobile are both owned by Telus, you number will for sure able to port in to Public Mobile. But we just need to know more if you have any specific error or you are just asking for general advise.
And it would be easier if your Koodo account is still active during the porting process. However, it is still doable if your Koodo account is currently suspended

After you complete the activation with an assigned number, just contact the Customer Support Agents.
Ensure you have the prior Koodo service account number to provide them.
They'll then 'pull' the number from Koodo to Public Mobile.
To contact a Customer Support Agent, there are 2 methods:
Watch for their response in your Community private mailbox which will be indicated by a number on the small envelope icon to the left of your Community avatar.

@Paula6 do you have a problem with the port or are you asking how?
if you have Koodo postpaid service, you can just request porting during activation as usual
if you have Kodo prepaid, you will have to activate with a new number temporarily first. Once activated, you will then have to open ticket with PM support to have them help to port your number
if you already activated but have porting problem, kindly provide us more details for us to help further

Koodo postpaid or Koodo prepaid? Public Mobile and Koodo prepaid share a backend, so that seems to be considered one company and you can’t port to the same company. You can, however, send a message to customer service and ask them to move you from Koodo prepaid to Public Mobile in their system. At least that’s how I moved two of my lines (a while ago now). The third line was a Koodo postpaid and it moved without needing help from a customer service agent.
