Porting my number to another carrier - 1 day too late according to PM

I saw that Public Mobile requires an active subscription to port your number out, and I was planning to do this today, which I understood was my last active day of my subcription.

My last bill was August 10th, so I assumed Sept 10th would be my renewal date here. I woke up this morning to find that the account was suspended as of today (Sept 9th), which I was not expecting at all. Now I can't receive a text to transfer my number out.

Is it possible to get a one time text to transfer this? I do not want to resubscribe since there are zero roaming options for travel outside of NA.

it actually means the cycle ends on Sept 9 00:00 am 😞  Yes, it is confusing

and for your future reference, never wait till last day to port, as porting can stuck, you should give yourself 2 to 3 days

On the original topic, this is specifically the wording that tripped me up to think that the plan was still active on the 9th. I understand that I was wrong and it was 30 days, but I feel they could improve the wording to show it will not be active on that last date.

Hmmmm... I was just able to redeem the points according to the rewards tab:

I received an email saying success redemption as well.

Unfortunately the cheapest plan offered to me currently is 30$, so I'd really rather not pay that full amount for a service I won't be using.

sadly, you cannot redeem points when account is suspended.  😞

login My Account to see if any chance you see a plan that is cheaper than $30

Well that's a huge bummer.

You're right, it's the 30days that caught me up.

 

I just realized I have 15 points left, so I can redeem that and this ordeal will luckily only cost me 15$ after the discount. I'm guessing the 15$ rewards redemption should apply correctly right away?

PM is on a 30 days schedule and not monthly, maybe that's why you were off by one day

sorry, if you want to port your number out, you need to pay and resume service for full 30 days, and you won't get a partial refund

but you can login My Account, and choose the cheapest available plan (if cheaper than your current plan) and change to it and resume for that one month
