Hi, I recently ported my number from Chatr to Public Mobile.
Calls and data are working fine, but I can't send or receive text messages.
My SMSC is set correctly to 647580172.
Can you please check if the SMS routing is fully updated or if the porting process is stuck on your side?
I tried old sim(chatr) and txt is working with the old provider. However, on the chatr website, it said port is completed.

If you just ported over from Chatr. You old SIM will continue to work for up to 4 hours until porting is completed.
Once completed, power off your phone and switch to the PM SIM then power the phone back on.
If you ported longer then 4 hours ago then porting was not completed. One reason could be that you didn’t reply to the confirmation text with YES within the 90 minutes window.
Just contact a CS_Agent to have Chatr resend the confirmation text or it could be a provisional issue at the backend if you did reply.
Easy fix for an agent. Just dm them:

calls and data are working, it is not a porting issue
make sure you removed the old carrier sim card, disable the old carrier esim
then reboot phone and Reset network settings
Add: please remove your phone number, this is just a community and you don't want to post your number in public
