Hello,
I’m about to join PM but awaiting my new SIM.
Currently with Telus on a post paid account. I understand I have to activate and port my number over, but at what stage do I need to (and do I need to) contact Telus to tell them I’m moving to PM? I’m concerned my direct debit may still be active with Telus.

It's always advisable to remove payment methods from automatic payments that you're intending to no longer pay. But no you don't have to do anything, the account gets closed.

Whenever you leave a carrier and port your number out, they close your account automatically.
