Porting from Koodo and $2 account credit.

Hello,

I just activated my sim card. When I tried to transfer my number from koodo it said to please select a new number and then contact Public Mobile after to transfer. I am wondering how I contact the moderators to do this. I want to port my old account over from Koodo to cancel the existing account.

In addition, I signed up for a plan, paid with my credit card, and set up auto pay. I was charged the full amount but now have a $2 balance in my account. I am just curious is this the difference for my first payment?

Thanks a lot for the help!

Best,

Econ

@Econ I think it says that for all Koodo numbers during activation but not sure.  If your Koodo is postpaid, you don't need a moderator. You can do it yourself in self-serve, plans+add-ons, change number, transfer from other carrier.

Hi @Econ - When porting a number from Koodo prepaid, you MUST get the moderator team to do the transfer for you.  As for the $2 credit, that is normal for the first payment.  When your plan renews, you will have the current $2 credit PLUS another credit of $2 for the first renewal. After that it will be $2 per renewal.  The $2 shows up only at the last minute.  You will not see it in your account balance.

Thiis all accurate but to be more precise, what happens is that you get a credit of $2 for AutoPay that will be applied to your next payment. Also, if you remain on AutoPay, you will automatically get another $2 credit applied to your account the same day that your account renews. This will also be applied to your renewal rate. So, the very next renewal you will get $2 + $2 off the renewal. After that, a $2 reward credit for AutoPay will be applied to your account just before the renewal charge.
