Porting Number from Freedom while simultaneously porting existing PM number to Telus

Hi,

I'd like to port a phone number from Freedom (778-707-XXXX) to PM and also port my existing PM number (604-376-XXXX) to Telus. Is there anyway to do this?

Any help would be appreciated.

It would be great if Public Mobile continued to allowe that practice by charging a fee, I'm sure people wouldn't mind paying.

This is the old thread showing how it's done.  This practice is no longer done.  Requests will be denied.

@erg62, there used to be a way but we were told that it was no longer possible.  Seeing as how you are moving a line to Telus but bringing in a line from Freedom, I would contact the MODS and see if there is anything they can do for you.

They used to allow the account number switching but no more as there's nothing in it for them to allow it.

@ShawnC13Thanks. I was hoping I could somehow avoid closing my PM account if possible. Given those two options, that is probably what I'll have to do.

Telus suggested there might be a way, but perhaps not.

@erg62,  you will lose one of your numbers.  If you port in your Freedom number you will lose your PM number.  If you port out your PM number to telus your PM account is closed and won't have access to that current plan.
