true, I think it can be ported back same day

but there was a post from a year ago saying the person cannot port it back on the same day.  He waited a day or two and then it works.  So, I assume some systems need time to sync and so I put down 3 to 7 days just in case

Customers change their minds all the about changing carriers, sometimes because they're not happy with how the activation went at the new carrier or because the old carrier offered incentive to remain.  There's are also procedures in place for accidental number porting.  For these reasons, there can't be some type of 3 to 7 business day wait before allowing a number to be ported back.

of course you can.

Usually you need to wait 3 - 7 days and you can port it back in to PM

There no wait time needed before you can port back to Public Mobile. A number can actually come back immediately after it has finished porting to another carrier.

My question is I use a PM number now. If I port out to a VoIP, this number will be deleted in the PM system. In the future if I port in PM from VoIP with the same number I used in PM before, then PM can do that and keep the same number?

That is correct. Number you port out will be a number at new provider. Your PM account will be immediately deleted.
Later if you want to come back to PM you would have to buy new (e)SIM, chose a plan, activate, etc. THEN you can port in number from other provider (your original PM number). Sometimes PM would not accept porting from some providers (voip) so you better confirm with the agent before you start this process.

hi @Minhlb

yes, as confirmed earlier, you can port it back into PM in the future.   But you will need to open a new PM account and use a new sim card or esim

@Minhlb

Yes.

FYI, it can take up to several days for port from VOIP provider back to Public mobile

Once you port IN your existing number gets replaced by ported number.

You can port in any eligible number which will replace current one you have.
Porting out will delete your PM account and keep your number at other provider.
