Hey Everyone
Black Friday I switched to the $34/40GB unlimited plan from a company in BC called CityFone. Everything went fine and I was using my number after porting from them to Public Mobile and then on Dec. 28th my phone number changed with Public randomly. My old number is gone and I called CityFone they say they took my old number back.
where do I go from here? I want my old number back with Public. How would something like this happen? I ported away successfully from CityFone as I had my old number on Public for just over a month.
Thanks in advance all

hi @Raj77 try reboot your phone and try call yourself again2
and can you confirm if you can make outbound calls? if not, then it is not a porting problem but an account setup problem

Hey they said they took care of the port and then I called the old provider they said I’m with public now and they released my old number to public to be ported. It’s been 4 hours and still my old number isn’t with me on Public.

Check to see if your old number can be ported:
https://secure.koodomobile.com/checktransfereligibilityparrot/default.do
If not, you will need to pick a new number but if it can just contact a CS_Agent to help you with the porting:

@Raj77 the number would not just go away unless you manually changed it
try to reboot the phone once and check again
if same, please submit a ticket with CS Agent here:
