Hello all,
We've been with PM for about 6 months now. We live in the Georgian Bay area of Ontario and travel extensively in the Orillia and Midland regions. We are constantly losing reception and experiencing dropped calls frequently. Our service on our iPhone 14s is never greater than 1 bar on LTE. Is this normal? Winter is coming, and we need clear coverage that's reliable for safety! Is there any way to address this issue? Do we need to switch back to Rogers or Bell? Gasp!!
Thanks for any suggestions

hi @Mudslinger
check the coverage map to confirm if you have 5G in your area

Thanks I’ve tried this several times… we get slightly better reception for a couple of minutes and then we move down to 1-2 bars of LTE

We’re using iPhones 14 pros, doesn’t seem to have a 5G selection in settings

Sorry for the delay, the notifications were all in my junk folder!
the spouse and I both use iPhone 14 Pros.

I have pointed this out before, but i don't believe that you've seen my response. Please realize that the above isn't correct. In areas that have 1900MHz for 3g (which includes most places), voice services are still available on the 3g network, and in these areas, VoLTE is not required to make or receive phone calls.
On another note, 850MHz (Band 5) has not been decommissioned. While there have been changes to it being used on the 3G network, both 850MHz (band 5) and 1900MHz (band 2) continued to be used on the LTE network as well.

What is the make and model of your phone?
PM recently decommissioned the 850MHz frequency so your are left with the 1900Mhz frequency if it is available in your area.
Your phone will need VoLTE (voice over LTE) for your phone to make calls.
Here is more information and enter your phone’s IMEI at the bottom of the link to see if it is compatible.

@Mudslinger try to reset your network settings as sometimes this is all it takes to clear the channel. If that doesnt work, send a message to CS_Agent and also have them reset your network form the back end. Hope this helps.
