I can no longer get a proper internet signal . It was working fine for the last year or so . It only works when I am in town . My wife is having the same problems . We have differnt phones , but same problems . Please dont make suggestions , like turnoff the wifi, or check phone settings . Wifes problems only started when she went to 8G plan. I think we are being throttled back or something . I am ready to cancel with Pubic Mobil .

Curious, which area you are at when you have the most problem?
just a suggestion, if you really need to move to another provider, there is a very big chance you will have the same issue with Telus and Koodo and even Bell/Virgin and Lucky as they share the same towers. You might want to check if Rogers will give you better signal in your area.

How long has this be happening for both you and your wife?
Have either of you changed phones recently?

I know you asked not to say this...but sometimes 1 or more of the below resets phones and get you connected to the PUblic Mobile Network:
*turn off your phone, leave off for a minutes, then reboot
*removing your SIM for a few minutes, then reinserting it
*go into airplane mode for a few minutes, then going back to regular mode
*reboot your phone again
*network reset

Since both you and your wife are having issues, this is likely a network issue. You'll want to see if this is always happen at the same location or everywhere.
You can try opening a ticket, but I suspect this is network related as it would be rare for the same issue to affect both of your family's accounts, but without many other members also encountering it.
