I saw that there is a special offer for a plan that isn't normally offered. If I sign up for this plan how long can I use that plan? Will it make me select a new plan once that offer expires?

If you meant whether those are 12 months pricing of not, then most the plans are "permanent" pricing. Once you are in, you are in.. (PM usually do not adjust price for exiting plans, but of course, they have the right to do so with 30 days notice)
The only exception is the recent $55 plan with $20 credit , that credit is only for 15 months

If you are an existing customer and want to make a plan change make sure to choose change plan on next renewal date otherwise if you do an immediate plan change you will not receive any credit for your current plan.

As long as you request a scheduled plan change while it is still offered, you will get the plan. Plans don't change on their own.
