Good advice on paying ahead of time as this avoids any possibility of an autopay failure. However if you are on Autopay renewal is automatic unless for a variety of reasons autopay does fail but there is no delay for a customer to make a manual payment thru their self serve account or 611 if they know their 4 digit account pin #. Additionally you cannot make a payment thru online banking only via a credit/debit card. Keep learning and participating your contributions are appreciated!

Make sure your plan is paid a few days before the due date as it can business days to process a transaction by your online banking or Public Mobile. Plan expired is the normal account status when your account starts the renewal process. This would not affect your calling unless your account is suspended 12 hours from now for non payment. If you do not have incoming calling that would be a separate issue. Do you have any working services?

The Plan Expired is the normal messaging you get on renewal. Are you on autopay? Try rebooting your phone or reset your network settings on your phone.
