Phone number not eligible for port from Virgin Plus

I transferred my number from Virgin and it even worked for one day.

Then I received a message from the PM that the number was not allowed to be transferred and I was given a temporary number.

I paid my bill to Virgin but now I can’t make a transfer because it says Phone number not eligible for port.

What can you do about it? 🤔

@VictoriaFaine - Can you please check if your phone number is able to be ported into Public Mobile (The link is Koodo but works for Telus and Public Mobile also.

Had the same problem from Bell to PM. Went to telus and bought a regular sim.  All good and normal

Please check if your service at Virgin Mobile is still working.  As number porting failed, Public Mobile had no choice but to assign a new phone number.  Not all phone numbers are transferable to all carriers.  Which city is your phon enumber from?  If the number is truly not transferable to Public Mobile, you'll have to continue using that phone number at Virgin or a different phone number at Public.
