The phone I just registered with public mobile… With a $10 a month plan with texts and phone minutes… Is not working… We can’t make any calls and can only send and receive texts when we are within Wi-Fi… I didn’t think you needed data to send and receive texts… Can you clarify this? Then today I added on some data to see if that helped… It is still not allowing us to make phone calls… Can you help please?

@earthmuffin16You need data for MMS texts
You can't make, as in outgoing calls are not working? Or is it just incomming calls?
What phone do you have? Do you have the phone configured for VOLTE?
Have you checked your phone compatible? Where did you get the phone? Is it unlocked? Does it work with the network? Is it off the blacklist?
Are you on the public mobile network?
@earthmuffin16 I would definately start with these suggestions, it could be a phone compatibility issues.

Is this phone locked to a previous cell provider ? If so, you can contact them and request an unlock code for free. Good luck.
