@Anonymous this is 100% incorrect.  At a bare minimum for use with Public Mobile, a phone should have both 850MHz (B5) and 1900MHz (B2) 3G bands.  The Vivo V20 only has the 850 and lacks 1900, therefore it is a very poor choice for use with PM.

@rmulani  You might not want to share the SIM  IMEI number,  this is dangerous.  This is a public forum and people can use the SIM number to do more than you thought.  Please click on the 3 dots of your original post and remove it

Both the South East Asia and Indian versions do not have too many compatible bands for PM.   While it might still work,  you want to have as many bands as you can so you won't get to area that you dont have good reception (or no reception at all).

Overall this won't be a great phone to be used in Canada.

@rmulani

Phone is not ideal with Public mobile.

Here is the specs:

https://www.gsmarena.com/vivo_v20-10435.php

3G bandsHSDPA 850 / 900 / 2100
4G bands1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38, 39, 40, 41

It is missing the 3G, 1900 band

Public Mobile uses the following frequency bands:

  • 4G LTE and LTE Advanced: 700 MHz, 850 MHz, 1900 MHz and 2100 MHz downlink and 1700 MHz uplink (AWS).
  • HSPA: 850 MHz, 1900 MHz (UMTS).

 @rmulani : I would pass on this phone. If you already have it then you may get some spotty reception.
