@Karen23 if you are activating new PM account, on step 2, choose "I want to bring my exiting phone number with me" and ten follow the steps to fill in the informatoin.
I suggest you provide the Rogers account number and not the IMEI for better success
And a reminder, your Rogers account must be active. After you activated and submitted the porting request, Rogers will send you a text to ask for your permission to port. You need to reply YES within 90 mins. So, make sure you still have your Rogers sim card in the phone to receive the text
Once porting is completed, your Rogers account will be closed as part of the porting process.

What if my number was with Rogers - can I still transfer?

@Karen23 if you talking about porting in an existing number form another provider to a new Public account, YES
if you are talking about moving an existing number from one PM Mobile account to a new PM acocunt, then NO
if you just want to change an existing PM plan to a new one, then you can simply do Change my plan from My Account

Check to see if your number can be ported from this Koodo website (Telus owns Koodo and Public Mobile), so, same allowances here:
https://secure.koodomobile.com/checktransfereligibilityparrot/default.do?lang=en&appname=otherportal
edit, sorry you said 'new plan'...so you have a new sim card you want to activate? Then yes, if the number is eligible go through the Activation pages here and you can port this way:
https://publicmobile.ca/en/on/portal/activation
Or, active with a temporary number then port later through My Account.
If your switching from Koodo postpaid your can port-in your number during sim activation. Just have your Koodo account number, name on the Koodo account and Koodo number ready and enter it when choosing your number.
If it's Koodo prepaid then you can click this link and type in “port request” to be put in touch with a Customer Support Agent (CSA). Include the Koodo info above.
edit2... didn't think about what @softech mentioned...👍
This can be done if number is portable to Public and not an existing Public account, so from a different provider.
