This is crazy.  People are selling their PM plans (for a profit) and there are people charging a set up fee to port a phone number to PM. Is it really that difficult to set up your own account? 🙂

Thats a scam. Public is no contract so why would you even need to sell it off??

It has to be a promo plan that is super good that is no longer available, or an account that has several Referals or loyalty rewards, else there is really no point since everything else is self serve.

The seller gives you the SIM AND access to its PM account. You test the SIM to ensure the account is active, then login to the account and immediately change the email address and password to your own. You now control the account.

In due course, you login again and change all the personal info to your own then request that the moderators change the account email address to yours.

Charging 200$ for the plan isn't that bad. It all depends what you current plan is. say you were paying 80$/month right now, In 5 months you would start saving 40 a month.

This is not something new. People have been posting since the end of the last year's fall promo. Those who actually fall for it has to be a fool to give that much cash just to get the account.

They're asking for $200.  They say they bought the plan for that much, but couldn't port their number into it from another PM account. Porting from PM to PM can be done but only by a moderator. All they have to do is message a mod.

I think it says a lot about how good PMs 12GB/$120 offer was and how useless their current pricing model is.

it's not hard, but may run into serious hassel.  Basically they become PM's CSR that doesn't exist.
