Hello to all at Public Mobile. I have 3 accounts with PM, all are data plans and either 4G or 5G depending on the account. Normally I use auto pay and my credit card for the payments. Earlier in December 23 I had a charge come through from a source I did not approve. This was not a Public Mobile charge but when I told VISA about it they cancelled that card and are sending me a new one. PM suspended one of my accounts because of course my card had been cancelled so no money for PM? So here is the question. I have been with you for a long time, I have 3 accounts with you so a fare amount each month, I always pay, but without warning you just shut off my account because no money for PM. You don't offer any alternative method of payment other than the method I use that was cancelled by VISA. Well now I don't have that number working because no money for PM but you don't give me any other way to pay the bill? So now do I move all my numbers to your competitor or are you going to give me a way to pay that is more current with the times. I look forward to your reply.

HI @TheJoker
sorry to hear your illness, hope you feeling better soon
if you don't mind to pay a small fees, don't run around, buy vouchers online from recharge.com or ding.com. They both carry PM vouchers

Hey @TheJoker
I think the person at SDM was incorrect. SDM all carry PM vouchers.
Here's another option online that folks here have said worked.
https://www.recharge.com/en/ca/public-mobile
I would reach out to the SDM and ask to speak to a manager and confirm with them. I think you just got someone who didn't know.

I did try your solution our Shoppers did not have the vouchers you speak of but I did try, so thank you. I am fighting terminal cancer and don't have a bunch of energy to run around looking for vouchers and gift cards. I have never had this issue kind of why I didn't know what to do. If a company cannot guarantee my phone will stay on and offer me ways that I can pay other than credit card or virtual card then they are behind the times. I was IT for a fortune 500 for almost 30 years the way companies treat customers today would have lost them a phone contract for thousands of devices in the past, and it did. But thank you sir you did offer I good solution had it been available, I have a second number I'm using and it is good until the 20th call it my backup plan so to speak I will wait for my new card to arrive. You have been helpful Chalupa_Batman and I do like your call name very much Happy New Year

If I had another method other than debit I wouldn't have this issue. I would have paid the bill. If I had a warning I could have done something to stop but as you say no pay no talk. I am more disappointed with VISA but a one or two day grace period and a heads up from PM would also be a nice feature. As I said I have 3 accounts that total just shy of 150 a month and have had them for some time so I think I have earned a warning or a day or two grace. Thanks but let's just let this end folks no one is offering any solutions to the problem of having money in the bank and not being able to pay my bill with it. Companies that don't change will loose customers enough said

Thank you for your insight I was aware of the process/processes around subscriptions. I am also aware of what needs to be done to port out. I also believe that in this day and age they should have the same alternatives to pay directly from your bank as does other providers. We have beat this one up folks let's let it die

As stated, it's a prepaid service, so once the prepaid period runs out, service stops if it's not renewed. No grace period, and no one will contact you.
You can get a voucher if needed. Or a prepaid credit card, if you don't have a backup.
Please note that if you do decide to port out, you'll first need to reactivate the number with PM. The port will fail while your account is in a suspended state.

Do you have another card you could use until your new card arrives? You could try changing your payment method. Since PM is prepaid, as soon as your subscription came to its renewal date, if there was no payment available, the account would not renew.
To change your credit card, you can go to payments and manage subscription. You should see an option to manage payment method.

Hey @TheJoker
You can pay by voucher. You can pick them up at Shoppers Drug Mart. Then you just dial 611 and follow the prompts to pay the invoice. Pretty simple actually.
Or you can pay with a voucher online. Here's how.
How to use a Voucher on Public Mobile Website
Log into your account. On the left side you will see Payments. Click on Payments.

The next page you'll see on the right side, Redeem Payment Voucher.

Then enter the payment voucher code, click add, then click on redeem payment voucher.

Congrats, it’s done.
