your 90 days grace period, doesn't start until current plan expires. If you put $$ on your account before you go away, your current regular plan renewal will occur using those $$...then when that renewal runs out is when your 90 days start. (Make sure to re-$$$ your plan at day 85 as suggested...just to be sure)
BTW...if you have at least 15 Points, you can redeem those points toward your plan renewal costs.

90 days suspension is the longest you can suspended at one time or you account will be closed
You can suspended for 90 days, then reactivate your account for 30 days with the cheapest available plan on your account, then re-suspend for another 90 days and keep going like that
(Reminder, although we said 90 days suspension, it is best to resume service at 85th day, give yourself 5 days buffer in case there is any issue)
