Paranoid boy wants to know how shipping works

Title says the brunt of it haha. On monday I ordered a card to be delivered to my house in East York, Toronto. Would have gone to walmart or k-mobile to pick it up, but i dont have a car and was willing to wait a bit to not have to deal with the TTC.

The next day, I received an email saying the card was on it's way. I clicked the view my order screen, and it says "your shipment is confirmed", but didn't appear to actually be shipped yet. Almost 4 business days later, and the page has not changed and there's been no further updates.

Rest assured that's fine, I'm not disgruntled by it (though I was hoping to get it by saturday so I could set it up with my family), I just imagined that me ordering the card in the same city as their headquarters would mean that it'd get here a bit faster. Are the cards actually shipped from Toronto, or are they made and sent from elsewhere? And has anyone had the problem before where PM is seemingly holding your card for an undisclosed reason?

Apologies if this has been addressed in the past, I'm new to PM and am switching over after Rogers f*cked my family over for the last time 🙂

EDIT: if any kind souls who are able to look up info based on order numbers want to help me, my order number is #131798. Thank you!

I ordered a few SIM cards last year, typical turnaround time was around 4 days.  Yeah, it does seem rather slow for a delivery originating from within the same region.  The delivery service selected is not overnight and so its pretty much snail mail service.

@retrove, that's the best attitude when dealing with Public Mobile... The services are general great, but if you get a hiccup, it can take a while to be fixed 😞

lol, I've heard nothing but good stuff from friends and such about PM, so hopefully this is just a fluke on their part. I'm willing to wait longer, it doesn't matter that much to me haha

I had next day delivery June 2016 when I signed up, in Brantford, ON.  Same service as the current setup.

Not sure why it's taking so long, other than possibly Public Mobile 'staf' are less and less, and Telus doesn't want to replace ?!?  This of course, is speculation on my part.

Hi @retrove

I ordered a Public Mobile sim card for a friend a couple weeks ago. The SIM card was shipped from Mississauga, Ontario. Just to let you know, shipment takes 3-7 business days to receive via Canada Xpresspost. I received mine within 5 business days. If have not received your order by the 7th business day, you will need to contact the moderators through this forum by sending them a private message. They should be able to look into it for you. Good luck!
