PUK Numbers

Rebooted an  iPhone and now it asks for a PUK number which I don’t have to restart using public mobile. I have been with public since 2020

it says to login and write a ticket but when I log in with my email and password it sends a 6 digits verification code which I cannot enter because my phone is not working .

i cannot send it to my email so I’m stuck in a stupid loop.

@Guy8

The code that you're being asked for couldn't be a SIM Network Unlock Code/PIN (to use the phone at multiple carriers) as there is no such thing/no such code on any iPhone device.

It's why I really wish people would stop using the ticket term. It isn't working. You've been given the method to contact support by private message. Go there.

SIM card puk

I follow the steps but it always takes me to write a ticket

The only way is to login with an email and password

public mobile sents a verification code ( 6 digits) but I cannot ( can Not) receive it because my phone is locked up !

@Guy8

I am surprised the iPhone asked for a PUK after 2 years.

I think someone accidentally set the SIM PIN or did it as prank on your iPhone.

Find your PUK: https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/where-to-find-your-puk

- SIM network PIN blocked. Enter SIM network PUK - is asking for the phone’s (often Samsung) “master code" after entering the wrong code too many times. Samsung and/or your previous carrier can give you this.

- SIM network unlock PIN" is asking for your previous carrier's unlock code - just contact them with your IMEI (dial *#06# to get it) and they'll give it to you. If you enter this incorrectly too many times, you'll get the error message above.

- PIN unlock key (PUK) is a SIM-specific code used to prevent unauthorised use of a SIM card.

The PIN (Personal Identification Number) enables secure access to the SIM card and network. It is provided with your SIM card.

If the PIN code is entered incorrectly 3 times, the phone is locked (except for emergency calls) and requires a PUK (Personal Unlock Key) to reactivate it.

Once the PUK is recovered and validated, you will be asked to choose a new PIN.

 Only Public Mobile's Customer Support Agents (CSA) can give you this type of code, which the device manufacturer cannot.

Caution! If the PUK is entered incorrectly 10 times in a row, the SIM card becomes unusable.

What's the exact message the phone is saying?

If any of "SIM network unlock PIN", "SIM ME lock code NP", "SIM not Supported", "SIM locked", "Network Unlock Code", "SIM PUK code", "Network Control Key", "Master Unlock Code", "Network PIN" means that the phone is locked to a previous provider. You'll need to contact them to unlock the phone.

If any of "PIN unlock key (PUK)", "Enter PUK Your SIM cannot be accessed", "Locked SIM" then that can be helped by contacting support https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437
