Please help port my number from Fongo. Many thanks.

@Jw unfortunately, porting a number in from VoIP providers like Fongo tends to take quite long, can be up to a week or so.  This is the same as with porting in numbers from home phone services.  Fortuantely porting from other wireless providers is quite quick provided eveyrthing goes smoothly.  Sorry you are stuck waiting. Hope it completes soon!

If you are still experiencing mixed services, please send me the phone number you tried porting along with your Fongo information (address + name on Fongo account)

 

I'll look into it as needed 🙂

Got your private message so let's see if @Mary_M or @Shazia_K can shed some light on your port from Fongo. I cannot access your account.

 

If you are still able to make calls with Fongo, then they have yet to release your number.

Perfect; the port is now in progress. With Fongo "progress" has been something of an exaggeration. Maybe you will get lucky and only need to wait a day. Smiley Surprised

I did activate the PM service, but not a new number.

I followed the prompts and selected the option to port in, which prompted me to fill-in a form.

I did fill-in the form and provided an alternate phone number, as requested.

The PM service activated on the alternate phone number I provided.

I am now waiting for the port-in of the number (currently with FONGO) which I submitted in the application.

@Jw welcome (shortly) to Public Mobile!  As @Luddite mentioned, you can initiate the port request yourself through the self-serve portal.  Have you already activated your PM service on a new number and just need to port in your Fongo number to replace it?

Have you initiated the request from your self serve account? If so, you'll just need some patience.

 

Let us know tomorrow if it's still not moved.

 

Fongo should continue to function until the port is complete.

Already done that, and already contacted FONGO. They are waiting for your port-in request.

Log into your self serve account and you can intiate the port under Change Phone Number. Prepare yourself for a long delay. Fongo is notoriously slow with porting. Be sure to enter the required fields accurately; any small error can cause problems.
