PM in Buffalo, US

Hi,

I recently travelled by bus to Philadelphia from Toronto. Just wanted to share my experience of using PM on the border and beyond it.

Needless to say, PM works great throughout from Toronto to Peace Bridge. Was able to stream videos, youtube and netflix.

At the border crossing, you get full coverage and LTE data.

Now after crossing the Peace Bridge I thought the phone would lose reception and since U.S roaming was not available then I tried connecting to the wifi on the bus (which did not work out :op)

But surprisingly PM had reception right into Buffalo city. The bus stopped at Buffalo bus station and I was still able to see a couple of bars on my phone and 3G data. I guess the Telus towers are right along Niagara river and that results in reception even inside Buffalo city.

Earlier with Wind the phone would lose reception even while being at the Peace Bridge.

Sorely missed the U.S roaming add-on on my last trip. But am glad to hear the U.S add-on is not active and am sure to use it for my next trip to U.S.

Cheers !

Wind would lose reception as soon as I walked into my office!

I had to go out of the building to be able to make a phone call! LOL

So tired of wind...

sure @ckl Will post an update whenever I travel to the U.S next.

But I have used U.S roaming through Wind earlier and the roaming partners were T-mobile and AT&T. So its been pretty good with both of them combined providing pretty good coverage across the east coast of U.S.

That's great to hear! Please keep us updated once you get the roaming add on as I'm sure there are many on here that would like to know your experience with it.
