I think I see what happened. Let me know if this makes sense.

On May 13, PM should have taken out $33, but only $26 was available in your account.
So your plan was suspended and you didn't qualify for the loyalty credit.

You fixed it on May 22 by topping up. I am guessing you're not registered for AutoPay.

I think PM still owes you $23 though for the May 13th charge. Billing glitch?

OP's renewal on May 13th failed due to lack of available funds in his account and no AutoPay.

OP's plan payment is taken out in 2 parts: $23 + $10. OP had only $26 in his account.

PM was able to charge the $23 but not the $10. Unfortunately PM decided to retain the $23 it was able to take out.

@daddo looking at the dates and your system issues credit on April 23rd, you were affected by this issue:  https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Announcements/Resolved-System-issue-expired-select-cu....  They credited you back for the unexpected early renewal. HOWEVER, there appears to have been an additional gltich as on May 13th--which would have been your next renewal if the system issue hadn't happened on April 23rd--you were charged for your plan cost minus the $10 base plan. This was in error and is probaby direct fallout from the above system issue.  I'm betting you are not alone in this issue!  Then on the 23rd of May--which was your new renewal date, 30 days after the system issue caused your plan to renew early), you were properly charged the $23 plan cost and $10 base cost.

@daddo  Since next renewal date is June 22nd my advice is to add $10 to your account and go online and do a plan change to the $25 plan to take effect immediately. With your $5 loyalty credit the price of your plan will be $20.00 per 30 days for a savings of $13.00 per 30 days. If you signup for AutoPay you can knock it down to $18.00 per 30 days. Save your money!! Smiley Happy

I may be mis-remembering but I'm not sure rewards will happen on an immediate plan change.

@Anonymous  If that is the case then the reward should be applied on the next renewal. Are you saying that when I change plans i lose the loyalty reward?

The rewards get converted at renewal. An immediate plan change is not a renewal. You don't lose it per se...just delayed until your next renewal. So I suppose you could say you lose it...for 1 term.

iirc

@AnonymousWith all the issues with scheduled plan changes lately my choice would be to have my rewards delayed rather  then dealing with a plan suspension etc.

@daddo  From what you posted it appears that you are getting charged $33 for a Talk & text only plan.Smiley Sad

You should seriously consider switching to the $25.00 Unlimited Canada wide calling and and unlimited International texting with 500MB data on your next renewal.

Further to geopublic and LovesToPM, plans don't change on their own. Imagine the uproar if they did. You need to keep an eye out on occasion to see if a better plan has appeared. But that's only if you like your money 🙂

@daddo, you are what was called a Legacy user, possibly even a Pioneer. You had call centre access prior to sometime earlier this year, and you've been forced to join the rest of us, on what are now all reward eligible plans.

Can you provide a screenshot of your 'Overview' page and the page that appears when you press the 'Plan Detail' on overview?  Please hide personal info (such as phone number, account number, name and address info) so that we can further try to figure out what plan you now have, and what may or may not have happened?

Here in the Community, we are mostly regular subscribers like you, but we have knowledge that we can assist in figuring out what is going on.

@daddo If that is all you're getting with the $33 plan, then by all means, you should switch to the current $25 plan.

@daddo  What plan are you on? From what you posted I don't see the double payment. On Apr 23 your account was debited $33.00 and then credited $33.00 for a net result of $0. I'm assuming whatever the problem on the Apr 23 was reversed. Your due date did not get affected so everything looks normal.

Where is the double payment you are referring to? Can you provide the date from above?

He paid $33 on April 13, $23 on May 13, and $33 on May 22.
So he paid two times for May. It could be some sort of renewal glitch as the renewal cycle was altered.
There's also the issue of missing May loyalty reward credit.

@LovesToPM  Missed that .....Thanks Smiley Happy

@daddo There's a glitch somewhere.

You are also missing your May loyalty reward ($4 or $5).

Looks like you will have to sort it out with Moderator Team.

It does look wrong.  It looks like your regular due date was around the 13th each month, but on April 23rd, there was a credit of $33 (system issue?) and then debit of $33.  That resets your due date, but for some reason another $23 was taking out of May 13 (not the usual $33), then you were back to May 22 dates for regular payment.  Moderator should help out and likely credit your account $23.
