You may also want to make sure that your port to Fido was successful. Are you able to receive calls and texts with Fido? If not, then your port failed and that is why you may have been charged.

When was your renewal date?
If you ported a day after the renewal date then you will be charge for the rest of the month.
Check with a CS_Agent to check your renewal date and when you ported out and plead your case for a refund if it was after the renewal date.
