I just had the issue with Rogers/Fido where they are no longer supporting OnePlus phones. If I transfer my phone over to Public Mobile will it also stop supporting the OnePlus11?

Thanks for the catch on B4 3G.

hi @BKNS27
PM does not support B4 on 3G, only B2 and B2 on 3G
and people won't be able to turn on VoLTE on the phone themselves. The VoLTE toggle will be hidden and turned off when a PM sim card is inserted. So, even OP can see the toggle now with Rogers, he will not see it once PM sim card is inserted.

Looking at the frequencies for the OnePlus 11. It should still work on PM.
PM is decommissioning the 850 MHz 3G so it should still connect to B2 in 3G, 4G/LTE and 5G. Just enable VoLTE for calling on your phone.

HI @GeoffreyB
your OnePlus has VoLTE, but it might not work on PM's network as PM has it own VoLTE list. Most Community members confirmed they are mainly using 3G for voice with your brand of phone
And for OnePlus, I know PM and Telus will still try to help, but if it does not work, they don't take any responsibility as this is not a phone they sell, they won't talk to OnePlus and try to make it work.

Even though OnePlus 10 and later are able to use VoLTE which has been confirmed by several users of such phones because it isn't sold by a Canadian carrier it is not supported?
Thank you for the whitelist of compatible phones.

PM VoLTE whitelist, any phone on the list and the new models of the same line will be able to use VoLTE:
https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/volte
As to support of the phone, please note that it is not the phone that they don't support, it is the recent change to 3G network and VoLTE policy.
Also, OnePlus is never a phone sold with any Canadian carrier, so it is never a supported brand

Where can PM whitelist be found? Is there any reason that Canadian cellular carriers are no longer supporting a 2 year old phone?

is it because of the 3G shutdown and the VoLTE incompatibility with Rogers system?
For VoLTE, PM has its own VoLTE whitelist and OnePlus phones is not on the list. So, it means you will be using 3G for voice.
PM still has 3G here but one of the two bands is now realigning for 5G usage. So, the 3G network for voice will still work but it depends on the location. (And the 3G network won't be fully shutdown for at least 1.5 years, could be longer)
As for data, it will work without issue, on 3G/4G/5G network. You might need to manually tweak the APN settings. Let us know and we will help
