I am transferring a number from another provider to Public Mobile but when I put the number in, it says put a valid Canadian number while it's a valid Canadian number from Halifax. I tried 30 times even on different phones through the app but it's not getting through with the same notification. Please help and guide.
Thanks,

Mkhurram4all isn't making a call. It's the number porting form. There's nowhere to put a 1. Only the area code and the rest of the number should be typed.

That doesn't mean that it's not a Canadian number. It says that when they think that the phone number can't be transferred to Public Mobile. It says that if the number isn't active or if Public can't port numbers from that city, but Public Mobile can port Halifax numbers. It can also say that if it's a Koodo prepaid number.

"Most importantly, do not cancel your service before you switch to the new provider"
Make sure you read the CRTC's page on this in case you might have any concerns:
https://crtc.gc.ca/eng/phone/mobile/num.htm
You "own" your phone number until it is released/unused with no new home.

Try adding 1 in front of your old number and see if that works.
