Number porting & eSIM

Hello,

I would like following done:

  1. Port a Bell number to Public Mobile - phone has eSIM compatibility and is unlocked
  2. Port a Freedom number to Public Mobile - phone has eSIM compatibility and is unlocked
  3. Port a AT&T US number to Public Mobile - phone does not have eSIM compatibility - but I can buy a new one if required - I am anyways due for an upgrade

Is there a family plan where I can do this together? Additional what is the porting process and how to do this? I couldn't find a phone number for customer service for Public Mobile.

From the information provided, there isn't any way to know for certain if the numbers from Bell and Freedom can be ported to Public Mobile.  Number portability eligibility rules, specifically when it comes to Public Mobile (Telus) needing to offer phone numbers for the same city as the competing carrier means that not all phone numbers can be trasferred to Public Mobile.

Also to add,  once the first account is transferred,  there will a Refer-a-friend code provided on the main page.  You can use that to save $10 off next bill off one account.

And you get 1 point for every 30 days that number is still active. 

Transfer account  1, use code. Once that's successful,  create account 2 and use code, etc.

All PM service is done online no call center. Everything is done through the app or a web browser. You do everything your self.  If you need help you ask here and the Community will try and help or you open a ticket to get help from PM directly. Everyone on the community is a customer.

No family plans every number need it's own account and email.

As for porting the first 2 numbers should be fine but you may have  a problem with the US one as it's from another country.

@AminI, also worth mentioning, if you go with eSIM that can be installed through an email that would be sent to you by Public Mobile that will include a QR code to scan, the Public Mobile app is required but it will take care of the setup of the eSIM. Physical SIM cards can be order through Public Mobile but they can take anywhere from a week to 3 weeks to arrive. Other options are going to a TELUS, Koodo or Mobile Klinik store and buying one in person for $10 plus tax, or you can order one through Amazon for $4.99 and free shipping if you have a Prime account, shipping is usually much quicker, 2 to 3 days typically

@AminI  public mobile does not have phone assistance.  Everything is self serve online. 

No family plans. Each accounts must have its own email and account. 

Existing accounts must be active to request port. You would need the account numbers for each phone  numbers. You would have 90 minutes to reply to the text confirming the transfer.

Hello @AminI, Public Mobile does not have family plans, each phone line needs to be on a separate account with a separate email address for logging into the Public Mobile app.

To port your existing numbers from the various cell companies you are currently with you just need to setup each one, one at a time and during the process you will have the opportunity to transfer in a number or to get a new one. When choosing to transfer your number you will need to know the account number from the old company that you are leaving. There is an option to use the IMEI number, most here will agree that you should not use that option as there seems to be more issues setting up.

Public Mobile is a self-serve mobile company, there is no customer support phone line to call but it's generally straight forward and if you do run into any issues you can post questions here in the community or you can contact a CS_agent through chat or private messaging
