Number Transfer not working

My number transfer request did not go through and I need a new one sent to me by my new service provider (Public Mobile).

In the first article, step 2 in the screenshot is super important to approve the port out from the old service provider with the old eSIM. 
I ran into this challenge joining PM two days ago too. 
It’d be great if PM were to emphasize this step during the activation process before proceeding to complete Transfer a Number 🙂
