Not receiving texts

My son's phone will not receive any of the texts I send him. Does anyone know why this would be, or how is can fix this. It's so frustrating not being able to contact him or get a response from him.

@ksbeasley  - what more can you share so others can help you further?

 

Both iMessage and Chat Features require a wifi connections or data to send/receive texts. Are either of these being used?

  • if iMessage see @fujiyama post
  • if you are using android and you use Chat Features, then I suggest you turn that off, as it requires wifi or data to send/receive texts.

Disable your Chat Features: 

  1. Open Messages
  2. Tap More options > Settings > Chat features
  3. Turn Enable chat features off

Dont just contact support maybe a bit more info and we can get your problem solved.

What kind of phone are you and your son using?

Can you both call each other no problems?

Are you and your son able to text others and receive with no problems?

Do calls work between both your phones?

If one or both of you are using iPhones, make sure the “Send as SMS” setting is turned on, and test sending messages back and forth.

Settings > Messages > Send as SMS toggle on

@ksbeasley hi does he receive other texts from people? did he accidently block you in his contacts?

not fix it, open ticket with PM support and ask them to check it,

Start by typing "Submit a ticket", then click "Contact Us", Then click "Other", then click "Click here to submit a ticket ↗" 

have trouble with Chatbot: private message CS_Agent at:

Once ticket is submitted,(envelope icon on the top right) CS_Agent will reply you there.
