Not receiving Texts - new customer

Hello

I recently signed up for a Public Mobile plan -- moved from Rogers.

 

I am not able to receive text messages. 

Please help,

@daypas   are you receiving incoming calls?  I am afraid you are not

 

A critical part to porting is to receive a text from your old provider and reply YES within 90 mins.  If you are not receiving calls and text on your PM sim card and can only make outgoing calls,  then you might have missed the step and hence porting was not completed

 

There is a number to all to talk to live support and the can re-trigger the process for you.  I will message the number to you via the Community inbox.  Check the envelope icon on top right.  Call them and get it fixed

 

 

But if you are receiving calls, receiving text from friends, just not receiving system text like 2FA from banks, then it is normal.  Those text can take as many as 7 days to come.  Systems need longer to learn you changed provider and some banks purposely put that delay to avoid sim fraud.  So, you might need to wait a full week for those system texts to come
