Not receiving ALL text messages

I have contacts with Iphones whose text messages I receive, however other contacts with different phones I do not receive their text messages. All phones calls however  are  received. How do I solve this issue ?????

I have an iPhone, I can send & receive with other iPhone users. I can also send photo & messages to Android users who receive them. However, Android users cannot message back; I do not receive their messages only their phone calls. I have rebooted my phone. I have MMS Messaging enabled.I have also send as SMS enabled.

Do you have an iPhone or Android? With an iPhone do you have SMS/MMS enabled? With Android have you accidentally turned on chat features (RCS)? Go to your messaging app and tap the 3 dots top right corner>>Settings>>chat features>>toggle off. (Are your chat bubbles dark blue vs light blue?)

You may have to change the apn on the device.
