Not getting 5G service

My subscription is for 5g data, but I'm not getting it in my iPhone 11 Pro.
I use an eSIM if that matters.

Does anyone know why this would be happening?

Members have indicated with the Samsung S20 FE 5G will not show 5G on their device but when a speed test was done…it meets the 5G speed.

You can search on this topic for this device in 5G.

I've switched to a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G, and I still don't have 5G. I switched also to a physical SIM due to this phone not having eSim capabilities.

I don't see 5g as an option yet if I put a Rogers SIM in the device, I get 5g instantly.

Do I need a different SIM?

Your iPhone 11 Pro is eSIM compatible but is not 5G compatible. It is an LTE phone so that will explain why.

However, you should do a speed test and see what speeds you get. Sometimes folks, like myself, get a 5G plan even know I have a 4G phone for the data allotment over speed. JMO.

A 5G device isn't necessarily required for the full 250Mbps speeds that Public Mobile advertises.  While the 5G network does help with network capacity, the LTE network is capable of speeds much faster than 250Mbps.

@Azkikr   Because the iPhone 11 is not 5G capable, that started with the iPhone 12.
