We have been unbale to make any phone calls today of any kind
al we getting is a mesage syaing "you don't have a long dustance plan"
this phone is for my daughter for so it is vital is is fixed asap
We have tried turning off phone, remiving sim,a nd checking APN

If you do find you've used up all your minutes, as hinted by @Anonymous , look up top for Plans, then scroll down until you see Add-ons (including International calls).
You can buy extra talk add-on minutes. There's no add-on for texts.

In either of these add-ons the minutes don't expire at end of your 30 days, rather they're yours until you use them up...even if it takes several months to use completely.

If you're on either the $10 or $15 plans then maybe you've used all the minutes. If so then you could buy "long distance" calling add-ons to extend your minutes. Or just no calling until your renewal.

@Aimee8858 APN is only to do with data.
does anything else work? data SMS. once you provide some additional information as mentioned abovem the community can better direct you in sloving the issue.

@Aimee8858 What is your account status in self serve? Do you have minutes left? What plan are on you? What about MMS/ SMS?
Try the lost / stolen trick. it seems to fix almost every problem at public mobile. Log into your self serve (my account) CLICK HERE then click “Plan and Add-on” then click “Lost/Stolen Phone” and click “Suspend Service” and click the “logout” button near your name/account balance. Wait 10 minutes. Log back and do the exact same procedure except this time click reactivate service phone found, reboot your phone. This seems to reset you sim / account and may fix your issue.
