No text to swap out sim cards

I recently changed from Koodo to Public Mobile, went through all the steps. Have the app, got the email about leaving koodo, waited for the text to swap to the new sim card, but all I got was a text to restart my phone. My account has the new sim listed, but my phone is using the old sim card still. I tried putting in the new card, network doesn't work.
Any help with this would be great, thank you all.

Since you replied to the text and the Koodo SIM is still working then porting is not completed yet.
It has been 2 hours so porting should be completed now. If you phone is showing SOS. Switch to the PM SIM then reboot your phone by powering off then back on.
If it still doesn’t work, contact a CA_Agent but their hours are from 9:00am to 10:00pm EST so they are probably off now but dm them directly.

Meanwhile, continue using the Koodo SIM.

Yes I got that text, relief yes, then got an email from koodo to confirm that I was leaving them. Then got a textas follows:
Hey, it's Public Mobile. To successfully complete your number transfer request, please restart your phone. Welcome to Public Mobile and thank you for joining us!
I restated the phone. Haven't got another text from them. Tried swapping the sim, the new one doesn't work. So have service with the old sim somehow.

You should have gotten a text from Koodo confirming you are porting over to PM then answer with YES using the Koodo SIM. You had 90 minutes to reply or porting will not be completed.
Did you reply to the text?
If not, contact a CS_Agent to have Koodo resend the text.

If you replied with YES, your Koodo SIM will continue to work for up to 2 hours. Once it stops working then swap the SIM…you won’t get a text to tell you to swap the SIM.
