I have had no service at Skiff Lake NB all day. This is the first time this has happened.

Is it possible your service did not renew on the most recent cycle renewal?
Login to your self serve amount to see what the landing page displays about your subscription status.

according to Telus site, there is no reported outage in NB

you tried reboot the phone? Reset All Networks? do you have another phone to test ?
and you have no voice and no data?
