I’m on the can-us plan with 50gb and I got 5g perfectly fine while in Canada. But right now I’m on a trip in the US and I can’t connect at all, it shows zero bars when I’m downtown and should have full signal. My friend, also on public mobile, purchased the roaming add on and successfully has signal so I know it’s not a coverage issue. At a loss as to what to do, I’ve powered on and off, selected T-mobile and 4g and all those shenanigans. Using an iPhone 12 btw. Am I missing something

Great that it final connect to roaming in the US. Next time, try manually connecting to either AT&T network if T-Mobile didn't work

I have no idea what changed I turned it off and on for the umpteenth time and now I’m connected.
