No notice or alert when I get new voicemail

I have to call voicemail every day to see if I got a new voicemail

I have a Samsung Galaxy 9 I used to get alerts on the previous iPhone

The Samsung Android phones have more settings to customize than iPhones. 

In the Setting menu>Notifications>Status Bar>enable All notifications.

Thanks, I just checked that it was turned off but the voicemail  slider is greyed out and will not turn on

Make sure that your Notifications are allowed under 'Phone Services' in the App Notifications settings.

If you're in business voicemail  notification is essential you would not want to miss an important call

on my iPhone, I got a notification like I get with Messenger with a number highlighted

I know notifications can be annoying but I need it with voicemail

I thought it was a Android thing but I guess not

That's very odd because it's the exact opposite for me, I absolutely HATE the voicemail notifications and would do anything to get rid of them of my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. 

They always popping up in my notifications when i slide down from the top of my sceeen: unless I check and delete my voicemails the notification does not dissapear, and it's annoying because they show on the lock screen as well.
