I been wondering this for some time now.
For a long time when I was getting near the end of my data it would text me that I was 75% and 95% used.
Recently I haven’t gotten those texts (just for data usage I get other texts from public mobile) and I’m surprised when I can’t get on the internet.
What is going on?

It is true.....the bf burned thru his data at a furious pace by turning his WiFi off (who knows why?) No data warning came in at all until it was almost depleted (the add on). Best to set you're own warnings to be on top of your usage.

Are you sure of this???
I have seen responses that you WOULD get a warning for each segment of data you have.
Ie. A warning when your plan usage is almost used.
I have 3 1gb add ons. 1 for pre Christmas, 1 for valentines and 1 purchased and would assume the warning should be per segment.

@brettster99, or maybe you did receive it after using it all up. You know Game of Thrones probably isn't the best to watch...try something else....

It could be you didn't notice it because unlike the Dec. gifts, the summer freebie was added to all customers with PM during that period, automatically. Unless your account was not active during that period (suspended)?

Sometime in 2018. Maybe I did get it and did not realize it. But yeah maybe I should ask a MOD or PM person about this

When did you activate your plan? The summer gift was given to every customer during last summer. But yeah, if you used up all the free data, then you should be receiving the text notices.

I went on a Data spree hahaha I watched a lot of YouTube videos traveling so I already used it up.
I missed the summer one. I got the winter one

@brettster99 I really don't know why that is happening to you. Maybe one of the oracles know why this is happening.

@brettster99 If you have a data add-on then you will not get the message because the add-on gets included in your total available data.

I don’t even have a data add on. It would makes sense if I didn’t get one until I used a majority of that data but I don’t.
I just wonder if it’s something to do with there system

@brettster99 do you have data add ons? There is a bug in the system where no 75% or 95% percent warnings are sent out until the data add in is used up too. It lumps both your plan and data add ons into one bucket. Stay safe.

2. Data Usage Notifications
Public Mobile will notify you via text message when you're close to using all of the data included in your rate plan. Data notifications indicate how much of your included plan data you have used, so you know when you’re approaching your limit. The default data notifications are set at 75%, 95% and 100% consumption of your data allotments.

@brettster99 It seems like if you have another data add-on, then the warning texts for the plan data don't seem to arrive. I agree you should be getting those warnings when you are near the end of your data usage.
